Everything officially released by Strawberry Switchblade.
Strawberry Switchblade only released one album (and a couple of later compilations). Simply called Strawberry Switchblade, it was issued in April 1985. For more information, see the discography.
The album was reissued in 1997 with 9 bonus tracks – those tracks are covered in the two other sections of this page.
All the officially released Strawberry Switchblade tracks that aren’t extended mixes or on the album.
In order of original release.
In the mid 1980s, singles were usually released on 7″ and 12″ formats. The latter tended to have an extended mix of the A side. Sometimes these took a song to new heights, but more often they were half-arsed things where they just spliced in a bit where a drum machine and bass synth run on for a while.
Although all five of Strawberry Switchblade’s singles were released in the UK on 12″, only the last one, Jolene, featured an extended version of the A side. The Let Her Go remix was released on the 12″ of its follow-up single Who Knows What Love Is?.
The other three appear to have never been on 12″ singles, but were specially made for a Japanese release, The 12″ Album, making its title a bit misleading.
