Quite a notable first album from two Glasgow girls, Jill Bryson and Rose McDowall, who write short, intelligent songs which capture moods and atmospheres despite their rather expressionless delivery.

The accompaniment too is worthy of note, for the arrangements are by David Bedford and Andrew Poppy and veer strongly towards systems music with their repetitive phrases and discreet use of electronics.
